Payment types are the things members pay for: monthly dues, levies, welfare contributions, T-shirts, event tickets…

Create a payment type
| Setting | What it means |
|---|---|
| Amount | Fixed (e.g. GHS 50), variable (member enters an amount between a minimum and maximum) or per item (unit cost × quantity, e.g. 3 T-shirts × GHS 80). |
| Frequency | One-time, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually. Payments are tracked per period (e.g. 2026-10). |
| Due day, dates | Day of the month reminders go out; optional open and close dates. |
| USSD | Whether members see it on *928*7#. |
Eligibility rules: who must pay
Click Eligibility rules on a payment type. Add rules on group, status, gender, age, months since joining, location or any extra field, e.g. Member group is any of Teaching Staff, Executives and Age at least 18.
Choose whether members must match ALL rules or ANY rule. The preview shows exactly who qualifies. Only qualifying members see the due on USSD and appear in compliance reports.
